Dr. Zev's Chiropractic "Tools"

Our care begins with and initial discussion of your health and examination, after which additional diagnostic tests or referrals may be recommended to determine the extent of your condition. In addition to hands-on therapy, you may be given exercises to do, diet or herbal suggestions, and ways to improve your posture.

Relief Care

Provided for acute pain and discomfort. Depending on the diagnosis, your age, and physical condition, frequent visits over a relatively short period of time may be required.

Corrective Care

Treats long term spinal/body problems. Because these have existed for some time, they require a longer period of care, similar to crooked teeth which slowly improve with braces.

Maintenance or Supportive Care

Helps you retain the benefits you have achieved from the relief and corrective care. Continuing to work with your chiropractor and having periodic adjustments will keep you as healthy as you can be for your particular lifestyle.

Do I need to keep coming back for chiropractic treatment?

That is entirely up to you. Some people only want to be treated for a specific pain or illness, and when the symptoms disappear, they stop going. Others use chiropractic care to fully correct the underlying cause of the symptoms and to remain feeling really well. Like a car, your body has constant stress and wear, and it benefits from a tune-up. However, which treatment approach you want is always your choice.

My symptoms are gone, why should I continue seeing the doctor?

Symptoms may appear late in a health problem, and are early to change and disappear when you begin Chiropractic care. However, the spinal problem called subluxation (that caused the symptoms) does not go away as quickly. Dr. London is trained to treat the cause of your problem, not just the symptoms. Before you received chiropractic care, your body had to compensate for poor spinal alignment and function. Your nervous system, which runs through your spine, could not function properly and this eventually contributed to your health problems. It is easy for the spine to fall into old patterns of misalignment and malfunction. That is why Dr. London will re-evaluate your progress at regular intervals. At each evaluation, he will suggest options for continuing care, even if your symptoms are gone.
